CONSIDER THE

ALTERNATIVE

YBS Alternative Education Provision

Choosing the right educational path is important. As a regulated Alternative Education Provision, quality assured by Lewisham Borough Council, Y.O.U.R Beauty School CIC offers a supportive environment tailored to young people. We encourage education professionals and parents to connect with us to learn more about our beauty courses, admissions process, and how we can help guide young people on their educational journey.

Re-engagement & Reintegration

Y.O.U.R Beauty School offer temporary or long term programmes to support Local Authority and mainstream schools with their early intervention strategy, for young people aged 13-19, who find meeting the requirements of mainstream education challenging.

  • would benefit from smaller class sizes and a higher teacher student ratio.

  • are at risk of exclusion or expulsion.

  • would benefit from a more vocational curriculum.

  • find mainstream education challenging.

  • have been out of education for a long period of time.

  • have not been able to follow the mainstream school curriculum

  • would benefit from an alternative educational pathway into further education or employment.

  • are not able to access the national curriculum due to behaviour, illness, SEND or personal circumstances etc.

We aim to make a difference

Working in partnership with schools and Local Authority, we provide young people with access to a structured programme to encourage re-engagement and reintegration into mainstream education, further education and employment. YBS support young people through various learning pathways, alongside addressing behaviour and wellbeing. Throughout the duration of placements, we provide updates and reports to parents, referrers and/or professional networks detailing set targets; behaviour, achievement and attendance.

Through our programmes, we aim to directly tackle behaviour issues whilst also reducing:

  • Disruption to education

  • Isolation days

  • Exclusions

  • Disruptive behaviour
